Following Ji Yun’s instructions, Ji Yin placed her hand on the Spirit Testing Stone, which emitted a faint white glow. The stone was reacting, but so weakly that Ji Yun had never seen such a response before.

To awaken one’s soul power and at the same time open the spiritual domain was rare among cultivators. If, at the moment of awakening, the spiritual domain was not activated, then it was an ordinary awakening. Afterward, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to open the spiritual domain through normal means.

So was Ji Yin an ordinary strength cultivator, or a rare spiritual cultivator?

Ji Yin understood the purpose of the Spirit Testing Stone. She could not let others discern her true strength, but neither could she conceal everything. She needed to give the Ji family some psychological preparation—after all, in the future, anything was possible.

“Is something wrong?” Ji Yin asked, seeing Ji Yun remain silent.

“Other than feeling stronger, you truly sense nothing else?”

“I can’t say for certain... For now, I just feel much stronger,” Ji Yin answered vaguely.

“So be it,” Ji Yun finally breathed a sigh of relief, as if coming to terms with something. “Come with me. I’ll start by teaching you the basics. Once you’ve mastered them, combine them with the mind technique and cultivate with a calm heart.”

“Yes,” Ji Yin responded.

Ji Yun led her out of the main hall, deep into the mountains, until they reached a quiet pavilion within a secluded grove.

Inside the pavilion stood a small table and two straw mats.

Ji Yun sat cross-legged, and Ji Yin followed suit. Raising his hand, Ji Yun summoned his soul power. A gentle mist gradually gathered around him, infused with a trace of spiritual energy. Though the spiritual energy was scarce, with persistent cultivation, it would eventually become inexhaustible.

Ji Yin attempted to mobilize the faint soul power within her. A thin mist slowly enveloped her as well, though much less than Ji Yun’s. She perceived a wisp of spiritual energy and immediately guided it into her own body.

Ji Yun opened his eyes, startled by what he saw.

Little Seven could already condense spiritual energy on her own! Ji Yun was astonished, lost in the moment. Even Ji Shaochen, the most talented of them, had needed more than half a year before he could manage such a feat.

Suddenly, Ji Yun noticed the mist around Ji Yin growing denser and denser, soon enveloping her completely so that her figure was hidden from view!

Even with his current strength, Ji Yun could not gather so much spiritual energy. How was Ji Yin doing this?

Spiritual energy from the outside world surged into the Demon Cauldron, which refined it once again before Ji Yin absorbed it. The purer the energy, the greater the benefits to her cultivation.

The spiritual energy nourished her meridians, and she could feel her soul power gradually increasing. But compared to the speed she once knew, this was still far too slow.

“Little Demon, can you handle this?” Ji Yin asked with concern.

“Absolutely! Ordinary souls can only enhance my own abilities, but they can’t convert power to help you. Purifying a bit of spiritual energy for you is no problem at all.”

“Very well. Let’s continue—breaking through to the second tier should be easy now.”

“Great!” The Demon Cauldron grew excited at the prospect of advancing.

Ji Yun sat to the side, watching Ji Yin. The thick mist around her lingered, growing even denser. Soon, his suspicions were confirmed.

Not only was Ji Yin herself shrouded in mist, but the entire pavilion was soon enveloped in a cloud.

Ji Yin felt her soul power growing steadily. She was preparing to break through her meridians and ascend a stage, when suddenly her soul power surged uncontrollably toward her heart meridian!
