Chapter 3: Is This a Move to Strip Down?
“She clearly saved him! And yet… he repaid kindness with ingratitude! Even wants to offer himself to her, what a joke!”
“But this young master is truly handsome!”
“Like jade upon the road, unmatched in the world! Such a pity, utterly wasted, utterly wasted!”
“I just want to beat this Lord Ji to death! A grown man, clinging to someone and refusing to let go—what is that supposed to be!”
Ji Yin: …
Is there something she’s missing?
She’s a man?
Damn! Ji Yin sprang up, reaching to touch her neck. Her fingers brushed against a small protrusion, and she couldn’t help swallowing; even her Adam’s apple bobbed with the motion.
She really was a man?!
She hurriedly touched her chest—flat as a board! Her heart sank halfway to her boots.
Damn! This was beyond awkward!
She grabbed at her clothes, intent on confirming the most crucial part, when she suddenly remembered she was surrounded by a crowd. Hastily, she let her clothes fall back into place.
Everyone around her gasped, their mouths agape wide enough to fit an egg inside! They all stared at her in stunned silence.
Was this little demon truly about to take off his trousers in public?!
“The world’s morals are truly declining!”
“Shameless, utterly shameless!”
“He actually wants to molest this young master in broad daylight?”
“If it weren’t for all these eyes watching, who knows what worse beastly acts he’d commit!”
Ji Yin: In her heart, she was cursing a thousand times over, yet not a word would pass her lips. “Um, may I explain?” She lifted her head, looking toward Xuan Yuanji. Her bright eyes held a sincerity that could move the hardest heart.
Xuan Yuanji fought the urge to strike Ji Yin dead on the spot and remained silent.
“In fact…” Ji Yin straightened her clothes, “I can accept a relationship between men.”
A fierce, chilling gust swept down from above! Ji Yin had no way to dodge. Only then did she realize just how weak she currently was!
Suddenly, a figure burst out from the crowd, blocking the blow and pulling Ji Yin behind him. The newcomer was clad in blue finery, holding a jade flute, his hair bound with a jade crown, bearing a distinguished air.
“Little Seven, mind your manners!” Ji Shaochen cupped his hands in a salute. “Young Master Xuan Yuan, Little Seven has behaved recklessly and caused offense. I hope you’ll overlook it on my account. I promise to discipline him properly when we return!”
With that, Ji Shaochen shot Ji Yin a glare as a warning.
Ji Yin shrank behind Ji Shaochen.
The great demon king had never been this cowed, but times were different now—she knew how to judge the moment.
“Wuyan, stand down,” Xuan Yuanji ordered softly.
“Yes.” Wuyan bowed and withdrew.
Ji Yin shot Wuyan a look. She had taken note of that palm strike just now—this Wuyan’s soul power wasn’t weak. She’d swallow him down along with the others and see if he dared act so arrogant again!
The great demon king instantly entered grudge mode.
“Young Master Xuan Yuan, my father has already prepared a banquet in your honor to welcome you,” Ji Shaochen said, surveying the wreckage before him and momentarily at a loss for words.
“You did this?” he turned and questioned Ji Yin in a low voice.
“A pig ran into it,” Ji Yin replied offhandedly.
“A pig? And you?” Ji Shaochen didn’t believe a word; as if this had nothing to do with the little demon Ji Xiaoqi!
“I was riding on the pig,” Ji Yin answered honestly, if not with reason, then at least with conviction.
Ji Shaochen felt his vision darken; he never should have stepped in—this hopeless wretch deserved a good slap!
Suddenly, there was a blur beside him, and Ji Yin had already appeared next to Xuan Yuanji.
