Chapter 62: The Art of Erasing Memories
Ever since that night, Qu Yi Yi had moved out of the dormitory.
Jiang Yun Qi had thought they could part on good terms, but who would have expected that today Qu Yi Yi would show up with Jiang Yang Rong’s older brother, Jiang Ze Chen, to confront them!
“How did you know I was here?” Jiang Yun Qi frowned at Qu Yi Yi.
She had kept her date with Chu Fei a secret, not wanting Guan Ya to find out, so it shouldn’t have leaked. How could Qu Yi Yi have found them?
“It’s laughable, really. I said I had something important to discuss with you, and that idiot Roman just told me you were here,” Qu Yi Yi sneered, pointing at Chu Fei. “Brother Jiang, that country bumpkin is the reason Jiang Shao ended up in the hospital. You should beat him up and avenge Jiang Shao!”
Jiang Yun Qi didn’t blame Roman. After all, who could have guessed Qu Yi Yi would drag Jiang Ze Chen here for revenge?
But to prevent another conflict, she had to explain to Jiang Ze Chen.
“Jiang Ze Chen, Jiang Yang Rong’s leg was ruined by people at the bar. It had nothing to do with Chu Fei!”
Jiang Ze Chen already knew the story from Qu Yi Yi.
“Nothing to do with him? If he hadn’t stood by and watched, would my brother have lost his leg?” Jiang Ze Chen snorted coldly, turning to Chu Fei. “You’ve got some nerve, daring to offend the Jiang family of Cloud City!”
“Today, I’m going to cripple both your legs and drag you to kneel and beg for forgiveness in front of my brother!”
Chu Fei seemed unimpressed. He merely glanced at Jiang Yun Qi and asked, “Is the Jiang family of Cloud City supposed to be idiots?”
“You mean they’re impressive?” she replied.
“To me, he looks like an idiot.”
“Even if he is, you shouldn’t say it so loudly!”
Jiang Ze Chen: “…”
Qu Yi Yi: “…”
—But you’re saying it the loudest!
Jiang Yun Qi was from Cloud City. She knew full well how powerful the Jiang family was, especially Jiang Ze Chen, who was a renowned martial arts prodigy in Cloud City, already awarded the Silver Badge by the Martial Alliance at a young age!
The so-called Martial Alliance was the largest organization of martial artists in Longxia, boasting immense power. Even Fang Yuan Liang, who had been killed by Chu Fei, only possessed a Bronze Badge!
“This Jiang Ze Chen is no pushover.” Jiang Yun Qi looked at Chu Fei with concern. “Maybe you should run. I’ll hold him off—he won’t hurt me.”
Though Chu Fei was a good fighter, he couldn’t possibly be a match for Jiang Ze Chen. She didn’t want Chu Fei to be in danger.
“Run? As if he could get away!” Qu Yi Yi taunted. “You country bumpkin, do you know what happened to that Brother Long? He’s already been crippled by Brother Jiang!”
“If you don’t want the same miserable fate, you’d better kneel and beg for mercy right now!”
Chu Fei raised an eyebrow and walked toward Qu Yi Yi.
Qu Yi Yi instinctively hid behind Jiang Ze Chen.
Jiang Ze Chen stepped protectively in front of her. “What, are you trying to bully a woman right in front of me? Do you think I’m useless?”
“Take away the words ‘do you think,’ and you’ve got it right,” Chu Fei replied with a smile.
Jiang Ze Chen’s face darkened at being called useless. He immediately pulled out a Silver Badge and shoved it in Chu Fei’s face.
“Do you know what this is?”
“No, and I’m not interested,” Chu Fei replied, spreading his hands.
“This is a Silver Badge issued by the Martial Alliance, only awarded to those who reach the rank of Martial Lord!” Jiang Ze Chen declared. “I know you defeated Tan Ying Yao, so you have some skill, but the gap between a martial artist and a Martial Lord is enormous!”
“There isn’t a single Martial Lord in all of Dragon City, let alone a young genius like me. You’re no match for me!”
Fang Yuan Liang was the strongest in Dragon City, and he only had a Bronze Badge. That’s why Jiang Ze Chen was so confident, hoping to intimidate Chu Fei so that crippling him would be even more satisfying.
But faced with Jiang Ze Chen’s grandstanding, Chu Fei merely curled his lips in disdain.
“Are you finished?”
“Hmm?”
“Then you can go on your way.”
Chu Fei struck like lightning, landing a punch squarely on Jiang Ze Chen’s forehead.
Jiang Ze Chen, realizing too late, crossed his arms to block, sneering, “You think you can take me down with one hand? You really do think I’m useless?”
Yet, this so-called martial arts prodigy not only failed to block Chu Fei’s fist, but his chest was punched clean through along with his arms!
The immense force sent Jiang Ze Chen flying backward. Before he even hit the ground, the sound of his bones shattering like dried beans echoed in the air, and the bloody spray left Qu Yi Yi behind him frozen in terror!
Even Jiang Yun Qi was left dumbfounded.
She had thought that no matter how strong Chu Fei was, he couldn’t possibly stand against someone who held the Silver Badge. But Jiang Ze Chen hadn’t even had a chance to make a move—his chest had been blasted open, utterly helpless!
Jiang Ze Chen, collapsed on the ground, was in utter disbelief.
Damn, this strength is just absurd.
He struggled to lift his head, just in time to meet Chu Fei’s gaze.
“You really are useless,” Chu Fei said indifferently, then walked over to Qu Yi Yi.
By now, all but one of Qu Yi Yi’s seven souls had fled her body.
She could only look pleadingly at Jiang Ze Chen, “Brother Jiang, save me…”
“He can’t save you,” Chu Fei said, delivering a slap so fierce that Qu Yi Yi spun three times in place.
If Jiang Yun Qi weren’t present, your head would be flying off your shoulders by now.
“Chu Fei, you’re being reckless!” Jiang Yun Qi, regaining her senses, rushed to grab his arm. “The Jiang family is the head of the Martial Alliance’s branch in Cloud City. If you beat him up, they’ll definitely seek revenge!”
“Huh?” Chu Fei feigned alarm. “Then what should I do? Maybe I should just kill him—that way there won’t be any trouble!”
Jiang Yun Qi’s face was full of black lines. “...That’s not necessary.”
With so many witnesses, killing someone in public was simply too uncivilized.
“I have another idea,” Chu Fei said, walking over to Jiang Ze Chen. “My beautiful master taught me a memory erasure technique—perfect for this situation.”
Memory erasure?
Jiang Yun Qi marveled that Chu Fei had such a miraculous skill, then watched as he kicked Jiang Ze Chen’s head hard!
“Wait, didn’t you say you were going to use some memory erasure technique?” Jiang Yun Qi asked. “Why are you just kicking him in the head?”
“I am using it,” Chu Fei replied earnestly. “Don’t worry, it’ll be over soon. Once he wakes up, he’ll be in a hospital bed.”
“He’ll stare at the ceiling and mutter, ‘Who am I? Where am I?’ See, problem solved!”
You mean you’re beating him into amnesia?
Jiang Yun Qi was astonished.
What kind of memory erasure is this? This is physical erasure!
After kicking for a while, Chu Fei finally paused and asked, “Do you remember who I am?”
“I… I don’t remember!” Jiang Ze Chen gazed at him in terror.
“I don’t believe you.”
“Huh???”
Another round of savage kicks!
On the other side, Coco and Xi Xi had just finished their dinner and were drawn over by the commotion. They came to watch, only to see Jiang Ze Chen lying on the ground, barely alive.
Xi Xi exclaimed in surprise, “Isn’t that the martial arts prodigy from Yunhai—what was his name, Jiang something?!”
