"What do you mean by that?" Guan Ya asked, puzzled. "Didn't you just say that the old man Qi was poisoned because Qi Yushu had been poisoning him all along?"

"When did I ever say he was poisoning him? I was just making a deduction. Deducing isn't a crime," Chu Fei said, shrugging.

Guan Ya pointed to the medicine bottle. "Then isn't this the Heart-Devouring Poison?"

Chu Fei picked up the bottle that Qi Wenshan had left behind and took out a small blue pill. He looked at Guan Ya and chuckled, "You mean this? This is just a common Viagra pill. But the old man really was poisoned with the Heart-Devouring Poison."

"In other words... you had absolutely no proof that Qi Yushu was the one who did it, and you were just running your mouth with nonsense?" Guan Ya said, shocked.

"What kind of talk is that? What kind of talk!" Chu Fei sounded dissatisfied. "I wasn't spouting nonsense. A chronic toxin like the Heart-Devouring Poison requires daily administration; no one but someone closest to him could have pulled it off. Qi Yushu was already a suspect. I just reasonably fabricated—er, deduced—a conclusion. If the old man believed it, that's his business!"

Reflecting on the conversation between Chu Fei and Qi Wenshan, it was true that Chu Fei never explicitly named Qi Yushu as the culprit; he merely stated facts. So, he really couldn't be blamed. Even though her deep grudge was settled, Guan Ya couldn't help but mutter under her breath regarding Chu Fei's behavior: "You really are a piece of work!"

"Actually, whether Qi Yushu was the one who poisoned him or not no longer matters under those circumstances," Song Yalan said, hitting the nail on the head. "Once Chu Fei proposed those terms, Qi Wenshan was forced to choose between his own life and his son's. Qi Wenshan didn't want to die, so in truth, he should be thanking Chu Fei for giving him a way out!"

Song Yalan was right. Even if Qi Yushu wasn't the poisoner, in that situation, he had to be. Otherwise, if it got out that he had killed his own son to save himself, his reputation would be ruined. But as long as Qi Yushu was branded with this crime, he could frame it as "cleansing the family portal." It allowed him to survive and made the incident seem more rational. That was exactly why Qi Wenshan said he had no choice!

"They say 'like father, like son' for a reason," Chu Fei sneered. "The son is a hypocrite, so how much better could the father be?"

Guan Ya shuddered, realizing that there wasn't a single decent person in the entire Qi family.

Song Yalan asked with concern, "Aren't you afraid he'll hold a grudge?"

"The east wind blows, the war drums beat. Has the most handsome man on Dragon Mountain ever been afraid of anyone?" Chu Fei said dismissively. "He'd better learn to quit while he's ahead, or if he dares to provoke me again, I'll wipe out the entire Qi family!"

To Chu Fei, the Qi family was nothing. If it weren't for the sake of giving his Third Senior Sister some face, he wouldn't even have bothered with the act.

"No matter what, I want to thank you for helping me take my revenge..." Song Yalan thanked him sincerely. If it weren't for Chu Fei tonight, she wouldn't have been able to take revenge, and it's likely neither she nor her daughter would have escaped Qi Yushu's clutches.

Chu Fei chuckled. "You're welcome. Just consider it a breakup gift."

"My name is Song, you jerk. Don't tell me you still don't remember my name after all this time!" Song Yalan said, furious.

Chu Fei retorted with his usual sharp tongue, "Song Yalan? Sorry, are you breaking up, too?"

Song Yalan was so angry she wanted to slap him to death, but Chu Fei grabbed her and pulled her into his arms. He laughed, "I'm just teasing you. Can't you take a joke?"

Song Yalan collapsed against Chu Fei's chest. This sense of security made her reluctant to leave for a moment, but remembering her daughter was still there, she said shyly, "Let me go..."

Chu Fei released her. Song Yalan turned to Guan Ya and said, "Go back to your room first. I have a few words for him."

"What could you possibly have to say that I can't hear?" Guan Ya said, sounding dissatisfied.

Song Yalan summoned her authority as a mother: "Grown-up business, children stay out of it!"

Guan Ya wanted to argue that she wasn't a child anymore, but one word from Chu Fei made her obediently head to her room. Before leaving, however, she sternly warned them, "No hanky-panky, you two!"

After Guan Ya left, Song Yalan sighed, "You have more authority over her than I do now!"

"Well, I am her stepfather, after all," Chu Fei said happily.

Song Yalan rolled her eyes. "What stepfather? Aren't you supposed to be breaking up with me?"

"We haven't even had our 'breakup romp' yet, how could I bear to leave?" Chu Fei said, grabbing Song Yalan by the waist and lifting her up.

Song Yalan panicked. "What are you doing?!"

"I missed out on a chance to change my destiny just to save you; you have to compensate me!" Chu Fei replied, carrying her into her room. Once inside, he tossed her onto the bed and loomed over her.

Song Yalan knew his tricks and shielded her chest. "Guan Guan is right next door. Can't you wait until she's asleep?"

"Then try to restrain yourself and don't make a sound."

Chu Fei didn't stop, completely disregarding her concerns. Song Yalan played her trump card: "What about Jiang Yunqi? Didn't you already get together with her?"

"Only children make choices; I want them all!" Chu Fei said it with such righteous indignation that Song Yalan cursed him as a scumbag on the spot. But such weak attacks were useless; they couldn't stop this beast!

"Then give me her contact information. I'll talk to her!" Song Yalan suddenly said.

Chu Fei paused, curious. "Talk about what?"

"Tell her to break up with you so you can be with me."

Song Yalan cast aside her pride and uttered the most ridiculous words of her life.

"No," Chu Fei refused decisively. "I like her."

"Then why are you doing this with me!" Song Yalan said, furious.

Chu Fei replied with the same righteous tone, "I like you, too."

These five words made Song Yalan forget her anger for a moment, though she still shouted, "Then break up with her!"

"Not happening." Chu Fei's stance remained firm.

Song Yalan suddenly sat up, pushed Chu Fei down, and climbed on top of him. It was the first time she had been so aggressive in bed, making Chu Fei seem like the weaker party.

"I'll say it one last time," Song Yalan said, looking down at him. She seemed tough, but it was just a facade covering her vulnerability. "Break up with her!"

*Don't force me to kneel and beg you.* She didn't say the last sentence out loud, but she repeated it silently in her heart.

Chu Fei had never seen this side of Song Yalan and found it amusing. He said with a wicked grin, "What, you want to 'persuade' me through physical means?"

Song Yalan immediately began to move her waist, employing all the skills she had ever learned, rising and falling over Chu Fei. Forget about Chu Fei—even the bed frame started to cry out, creaking and groaning as if it were screaming the word "breakup."

*This woman...*

*So, all those times I was the one leading, you were just coasting, weren't you?!*
