The speaker was a student council member and the class monitor for this major. He had previously pursued Jiang Yunqi, only to be rejected. Harboring a grudge, he jumped at the chance to stir up trouble the moment he saw her arrive with Chu Fei. In truth, he wasn't alone; most of the male students in the class viewed Jiang Yunqi as their goddess. Seeing their "goddess" snatched away by some random guy left them feeling resentful. Encouraged by his lead, they began to chime in with sarcastic remarks, hoping to put Chu Fei in his place and avenge their wounded pride.

"Exactly! Hey, campus beauty, your taste is lacking. Isn't this boyfriend of yours a bit too rustic?"

"Wait, isn't this that guy Chu Fei? The one who works as a model?"

"Oh my god, Jiang, you didn't have to sink that low, did you? Going for a male model?"

Hearing the jeers, Jiang Yunqi glared indignantly at the self-righteous ringleader. "Jiang Yang, what right do you have to insult people? And what does it matter to you what kind of boyfriend I choose?"

At these words, Jiang Yang's expression soured, and the other boys looked on with strange, awkward expressions. Jiang Yunqi felt quite proud, thinking her time with Chu Fei had sharpened her wit. She had left him speechless with a single sentence—surely Chu Fei would be impressed!

Then, Luo Man asked, "Who did you just call him?"

"Jiang Yang, why?" Jiang Yunqi turned to look at her, wondering if the name lacked enough bite.

"His name is Wang Yang." Luo Man couldn't hold it in and burst into laughter. "This guy even wrote you a love letter, and you still managed to get his name wrong? Qiqi, are you trying to laugh me to death so you can inherit my debts?"

That last remark landed a critical hit. The boys who had been mocking Chu Fei couldn't help but snicker. Writing a love letter to someone only for them to forget your name—could anything be more ridiculous? As minor characters playing the role of the antagonist, they were trained not to laugh, no matter how funny things got—unless they simply couldn't help it.

Jiang Yunqi felt a bit embarrassed. Getting the guy's name wrong while trying to insult him was truly humiliating.

"It doesn't matter," Chu Fei comforted her. "Dogs don't have the right to a name. Honestly, you were generous. If it were me, I would have just called him 'Lucky' based on his appearance. Besides, don't worry about him biting us; we've both had our rabies shots."

Double kill!

Comforted by Chu Fei, Jiang Yunqi felt less awkward. Besides, she realized, whether it was Jiang or Wang, the goal of making him look foolish had been achieved.

"Well said, wife and husband in perfect harmony! You’ve got spirit, kid," Luo Man said, giving Chu Fei a thumbs up.

While the trio enjoyed the moment, the man who had lost his true name was far from pleased. Desperate to save face, he lashed out. "Jiang Yunqi, I must have been blind to ever write you a love letter. If I had known you were such a shallow woman, I would have known you were never worthy of me!"

As Jiang Yunqi prepared a retort, Chu Fei whispered something in her ear. She immediately went full throttle: "You really are quite versatile, aren't you? Calling everyone mom and dad on sight."

Triple kill!

"What... what kind of barking are you doing?!"

"I’m just excited to see such a massive pile of dung for the first time!"

Quadra kill!

"You, you, you...!"

"What about me? People like me, who are beautiful, are easily forgiven even when we make mistakes. But people like you, who are ugly, are unforgivable just by existing!"

Penta kill!

It turned out that the most direct way to resolve interpersonal conflict was to just tear the mask off. If it weren't for the fact that Wang Yang looked like he was about to drop dead on the spot, Jiang Yunqi would have asked Chu Fei for more lines—it was exhilarating! Chu Fei, however, felt these few were enough for an opponent of this caliber. He didn't want to accidentally give him too much satisfaction.

Just as Wang Yang was about to lose his temper and resort to physical violence, an elderly man walked into the classroom. This was Wang Hai, a renowned mathematics professor at Dragon City University. A highly respected figure in the world of mathematics, he was someone even the university president treated with deference. Known for being incredibly strict and notoriously stubborn, few students dared to skip his classes—which was the main reason Jiang Yunqi had felt compelled to attend today; she was genuinely afraid of the old man.

Furthermore, he was Wang Yang's grandfather. Wang Yang’s position in the student council was, in no small part, thanks to his grandfather’s influence. Seeing his grandfather arrive, Wang Yang didn't dare to start a fight, though he silently plotted how to get back at Chu Fei and humiliate him in public.

Wang Hai began the lecture. Jiang Yunqi, pursuing a double major in finance and foreign languages, found the material fascinating. Luo Man, however, was miserable; listening to the old man was like watching a foreign film without subtitles. As for Chu Fei, he seemed bored, yawning repeatedly.

Soon, Wang Yang found his chance to show off. At the end of the lecture, Wang Hai left a difficult problem on the board and challenged the students to solve it. The problem was well beyond the curriculum; even a top student like Jiang Yunqi couldn't solve it, let alone the slackers like Luo Man.

Seeing his opening, Wang Yang raised his hand and went to the board. His grandfather had given him plenty of private tutoring at home, so the problem was well within his reach. Within five minutes, he provided a perfect answer. Wang Hai nodded, clearly satisfied with his grandson, and the classroom erupted in applause.

After solving the problem, Wang Yang felt as though the clouds had cleared and the sun was out; he felt invincible again. He looked at Chu Fei, deliberately picking a fight. "What are you looking at? If you're not convinced, come up here and solve it to prove you're not just a bumpkin!"

At these words, several jealous onlookers joined the chorus. "Oh, Wang, don't make it hard for him. He's just a bumpkin here to pick up girls. I doubt he even knows how to write the word 'mathematics'!"

"Exactly. I don't know what the campus beauty sees in a guy who only knows how to talk big. Bringing him here is just embarrassing!"

"People like him shouldn't even be in our classroom; it's affecting our studies. I propose we kick him out!"

The students knew Professor Wang had zero tolerance for nonsense, and they were trying to use this opportunity to humiliate Chu Fei. Given what they knew of the professor, they were certain Chu Fei would be thrown out.

Sure enough, Wang Hai turned his gaze toward Chu Fei, who had become the center of attention. He frowned and asked, "You are not a student at this university?"

"No," Chu Fei admitted, shaking his head honestly. "I'm just here to audit the class with my girlfriend."

While this pleased Jiang Yunqi, it confirmed the jealous onlookers' claims that Chu Fei was nothing but a hanger-on.

Wang Hai’s tone turned dissatisfied. "Then which university are you from?"

"I've never been to university," Chu Fei said, revealing his own shortcoming. "To be precise, I've never been to school at all."

At this, the entire room looked at Chu Fei with disdain. So, not only was he a bumpkin, he was illiterate too!
