Chapter 130: I Truly Am Mr. Silhouette
Nie Ke'er had just finished speaking when she saw Chu Fei park his car and step out alone.
This made her breathe a sigh of relief. Since Chu Fei hadn't returned with Zhou Mi, it proved he absolutely wasn't the mysterious "Mr. Silhouette"!
"I told you! How could that arrogant guy possibly be my idol?" Nie Ke'er boasted to Xi Xi before walking up to greet him.
Xi Xi followed behind, sighing in disappointment. She had really been hoping to see her best friend get taken down a peg. As for Uncle Huang, he couldn't help but think, "So this is Miss Ke'er's fiancé? He looks rather unremarkable."
"Hello there, handsome!" Xi Xi greeted Chu Fei enthusiastically. After what happened last time, she had developed quite a favorable impression of him. She even toyed with the idea that if Nie Ke'er didn't make a move, she might just pursue him herself.
Nie Ke'er, however, looked dissatisfied. "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting for you? You certainly have a big ego!"
Uncle Huang remained composed, but his eyes were clearly scrutinizing Chu Fei. Since the man had supposedly taken out the trio from the Warrior Association, he should logically be around the level of a Martial Master. Yet, he couldn't detect any trace of spiritual energy circulating within him, which was incredibly strange.
Before Chu Fei could speak, Xi Xi stepped forward. "I have to tell you, I made a bet with Ke'er just now about whether or not you were Mr. Silhouette!"
"I am," Chu Fei said, not intending to hide it.
As soon as the words left his lips, Nie Ke'er snapped, "Give it a rest! Don't insult my idol. With your attitude, do you really think a goddess like Zhou Mi would ever be interested in you?"
"Oh, Ke'er, don't talk to Chu Fei like that!" Xi Xi stood up for him. "Aside from his terrible personality, self-righteousness, and foul mouth, he doesn't have any other flaws! Honestly, I kind of like his shameless and conceited demeanor!"
Chu Fei twitched his lips. "Thanks, I feel insulted."
"You're welcome, you deserve it," Xi Xi said, making a heart gesture with her fingers.
Seeing the two of them interacting so happily while leaving her on the sidelines, Nie Ke'er felt a surge of annoyance. "Hey, I'm talking to you! Where have you been?"
Chu Fei answered truthfully, "I was out taking care of some minor business with my Fourth Senior Sister—that is, Zhou Mi, the one you think is out of my league—and little Nuannuan."
Hearing him mention Zhou Mi again, Nie Ke'er rolled her eyes. "Seriously? Are you still keeping up this act? Do you really think you're Mr. Silhouette?"
"Chu Fei, are you trying to play us for fools again? Just like when you called Ke'er an idiot last time, we aren't falling for it again!" Xi Xi said, looking as if she had seen right through him.
"I am... I really am!" Chu Fei said helplessly.
"Enough! If you keep doing this, I'm really going to hate you. You can be rude all you want, but don't you dare make fun of my idol!" Nie Ke'er said, sounding quite serious.
This piqued Chu Fei's interest. "Is Mr. Silhouette really your idol?"
"More than just an idol! He's even the subject of Ke'er's wet dreams!" Xi Xi teased. "So, as his fiancé, you've already been cheated on! But look on the bright side—as the old saying goes, if you want a peaceful life, you've got to wear a little green on your head!"
Nie Ke'er, flushed with embarrassment and anger, retorted, "What are you talking about? I'm not that kind of person! I just use Mr. Silhouette as a standard for my future boyfriend. Our connection is purely spiritual!"
"A spiritual connection?" Chu Fei's eyes lit up. "What kind of position is that? Is that some kind of special technique?"
Both women gave him a look of utter disdain.
"In short, you absolutely cannot be Mr. Silhouette. You..."
Before Nie Ke'er could finish her sentence, a voice came from behind them.
"Little Junior Brother, are these your friends?"
Nie Ke'er and Xi Xi turned around and saw Zhou Mi walking over while holding Nuannuan's hand. As it turned out, the two had stopped at the entrance to buy ice cream, which was why they hadn't returned with Chu Fei.
Nie Ke'er and Xi Xi were struck as if by lightning, frozen in place. Xi Xi was the first to recover, her face filled with shock. "Y-you're Zhou Mi!"
"It's me. Do you want an autograph?" Zhou Mi licked her ice cream and gave the two women a goddess-level smile.
Nie Ke'er felt as if her world had crumbled. "This is impossible... how could you be Mr. Silhouette...?" She pointed at Chu Fei, feeling a sense of helplessness, wanting to call the police but not knowing what to tell them.
"What's with that expression?" Chu Fei said, sounding displeased. "Your dreams have come true in reality; you should be happy!"
"Shut up! Don't say another word!" Nie Ke'er covered her head, on the verge of a breakdown.
Sensing the drama, Zhou Mi asked curiously, "What's going on? Did you bully them?"
"Me? Bully her? I don't have that kind of capability!" Chu Fei explained the situation to Zhou Mi, including Nie Ke'er's identity.
"That's a tough one to judge..."
Zhou Mi looked at Nie Ke'er and said, "Regardless, please keep this a secret."
Nie Ke'er, forced to accept the reality of the situation, could only ask, "So, are you two really together?"
Zhou Mi hooked her arm around Chu Fei's. "That's right! As fans of our pairing, you'll bless us, won't you?"
"But he has seven fiancées! Doesn't that bother you?" Nie Ke'er asked, eyes wide.
Zhou Mi laughed. "Why would that bother me? As long as he has me in his heart, that's enough. You're one of the fiancées too, right? Welcome to our big family!"
This left Nie Ke'er completely speechless. Xi Xi gave a thumbs-up from the side. As expected, the man she had set her sights on was a hot commodity—even an international superstar was willing to throw herself at him!
Chu Fei sighed. "Alright, Fourth Senior Sister, stop teasing her. What did you actually want?"
"I, Nie Ke'er, keep my word. I promised to do that thing for you for a month, and I won't go back on it!" Nie Ke'er said firmly.
Chu Fei asked deliberately, "Which thing?"
"You know what!"
"Say it out loud."
"Maid... are you satisfied now?!"
Hearing this, Uncle Huang could no longer stay silent. "Miss Ke'er, there's a limit to how much you can mess around! You are the daughter of the Martial Alliance; how could you possibly serve as a maid to this guy?"
"Uncle Huang, this is my own decision, it's none of your business!" Nie Ke'er replied. "Besides, you can go back now. With Chu Fei here, I don't need your protection!"
Uncle Huang had come to Dragon City specifically to protect Nie Ke'er; there was no way he was going to just leave. Furthermore, as the most cherished little princess of the Nie family, she had no business being a maid to this brat. Even if he were her fiancé, he wasn't qualified. Moreover, from their conversation, Uncle Huang had gathered that the boy not only had seven fiancées but was also gallivanting around with other women. A philanderer like this was nowhere near worthy of his little princess.
The more Uncle Huang looked at Chu Fei, the more he disliked him.
"That won't do!" Uncle Huang looked at Chu Fei with contempt. "No one knows if those people from the Warrior Association will send more assassins. I must remain by your side, Miss! As for this boy, I don't believe he has the ability to protect you!"
