Chapter 102: Dragon Riding Instructor Certification

Leaving the hotel, Chen Yun rode his bike to the fish market. Blue Melody City lies by the sea, and what is most abundant here? Seafood—fresh fish from the ocean!
"Damn it, I live among monsters every day, yet I’m still worried about where to find them. How silly," Chen Yun muttered as he pedaled.
"NPC Zhang Lang is requesting to communicate with you. Accept? Yes/No?"
Huh? A call already? Chen Yun paused, then remembered he had linked an external communication device—a big brother phone—and agreed to the call.
"Xiao Chen, where are you? Two people came looking for you at the hotel. One is a driving school instructor; he said you sent them."
Driving school instructors? Damn, they’re fast! They showed up right after lunch. The allure of money is truly powerful!
"I’m heading back now. Tell them to wait a moment," Chen Yun said, then turned around and returned to the hotel.
Back at the hotel, Chen Yun saw Coach Liu and his wife.
"Little brother, as soon as old Liu woke up, I dragged him over. Not too late, right?" Coach Liu’s wife asked.
"Not late."
"How about we start now? After we finish, old Liu has to go back for emergency IV treatment."
Chen Yun broke into a sweat. You really want money more than your life, huh?
Coach Liu, despite having several ribs broken by the relentless instructors, endured the pain and finished the last round of teaching. Once the system confirmed everything was correct, Chen Yun handed Coach Liu a purple coin. Immediately, a system prompt appeared:
"Player Chen Yun has learned Level 4 driving skill and automatically mastered Level 4 mount riding skill. Current proficiency 0/800. Upon reaching full proficiency and level 20, Level 5 driving skill can be learned."
Awesome! Chen Yun clenched his fist—finally, he could drive a car!
"Little brother, you’re honest and straightforward. I’ll push old Liu back to the hospital now," the coach’s wife said as she prepared to leave with her husband upon receiving the money. But Coach Liu shook his head and looked at Chen Yun with difficulty.
"Little brother, can you tell me what you’ll learn after mastering cars?"
"What else?" Chen Yun was puzzled; he hadn’t thought that far, and the system hadn’t said what was required for Level 5 driving skills.
"I don’t know," he admitted.
"How can you not know? Then how can I teach you? Oh right, I have the driving school’s course list. Honey, quickly get the brochure from your bag for the little brother." Coach Liu hurriedly said.
His wife’s eyes brightened. Of course! After cars, there are buses, trucks, and heavy trucks—all money-makers! She quickly pulled out a brochure from her bag and handed it to Chen Yun.

Chen Yun took it and his eyes nearly popped out.
The heading was labeled by the system as "Driving Skill Learning Project Fee Schedule."
He read aloud: "Level 1 Bicycle driving, tuition 100 copper coins; Level 2 Electric bike driving, tuition 10 gold coins."
The coach nodded. He had already taught those two and gotten paid.
"Level 3 Riding motorcycles, tuition 500 gold coins; Level 4 Driving cars, tuition 50 purple coins."
Coach Liu perked up. He had just taught those yesterday and earned billions! What’s next?
"Level 5 Driving large buses and armored vehicles, tuition 500 purple coins."
Both coach and wife’s eyes bulged. 500 purple coins?! Good heavens!
"Level 6 Driving trains and tanks, tuition 5,000 purple coins."
Coach Liu felt his heart pounding again.
"Level 7 Learning airplanes and medium-sized ships, tuition... damn, one day’s crystal coins!"
"Level 8 Large passenger planes, tuition 5 days’ crystal coins. Level 9 Combat jets and aircraft carriers, tuition 50 days’ crystal coins. Level 10... damn, Level 10 is absurd—learning to ride dragons?! Tuition... let me see... holy crap, 10,000 days’ crystal coins!"
Bang! Coach Liu couldn’t take it anymore; his eyes rolled back and he passed out blissfully.
"Old Liu, don’t faint! How can you faint at such a critical moment? Wake up!" His wife, nearly bursting with excitement, slapped him awake despite his serious injuries. With tuition fees reaching into the crystal coins, how could he just pass out?
Upon waking, Coach Liu didn’t scold his wife but stared intently at Chen Yun.
"I can teach you all this, as long as you pay. Dragon riding? I can teach that too!"
"Uh... I’m afraid you can’t teach that..." Chen Yun wiped sweat from his brow. You can teach everything, but dragon riding? Really?
"Why not? It’s just theory. I can rattle off a whole lecture. Dragon riding starts with..." Enticed by the crystal coin fees, Coach Liu’s vitality surged. His chest no longer felt tight, pain subsided, breath steadied, and his voice grew strong. He felt like he could easily place in a marathon’s top three in this state!
"This isn’t a matter of theory," Chen Yun shook his head.
"What is it then, little brother? Tell me, and I’ll definitely solve it!" Coach Liu said confidently.

"Yes, yes, tell us. We’ll solve it," the coach’s wife chimed in.
Chen Yun thought for a moment. The reason the driving school instructors were recognized by the system as Level 4 driving masters was probably because they all had instructor licenses. So he said, "It’s simple—you don’t have a dragon-riding instructor license."
"Dragon-riding instructor license?" The couple looked bewildered. Is there such a license in the world?
"Probably not. So this is your last time teaching me. You two should head back to the hospital. I’m leaving," Chen Yun said regretfully. He actually liked this coach; they made a great team. He paid, the coach gave theory without any nonsense—a golden partnership.
"Wait!" Coach Liu suddenly called out.
"What’s up?" Chen Yun turned around.
"If I can get the dragon-riding instructor license, will you let me teach you?" Coach Liu asked through gritted teeth.
Chen Yun was surprised. Could the coach really get that license?
"I can’t say right now. But once you get that license, I’ll know if you can teach me," Chen Yun said honestly. He truly didn’t understand how the system judged such things.
"Alright, wait for me half an hour. I’ll go get it now. Honey, push me home," Coach Liu said, letting his wife push him away.
"Honey, where will you get that license? Does it even exist in this world?" she asked on the way.
"Hehe, forgot what I did before becoming a coach?" Coach Liu smiled slyly.
"Oh!" The wife suddenly understood. "You mean…"
"That fake license the fool wants doesn’t exist. How could I get him a real one? I’ll just make a fake one and see if it works. If it doesn’t, we lose nothing. But if the fool thinks it’s valid, we’ll really strike it rich! Imagine 10,000 days’ crystal coins—oh my heavens, how much money is that?"
