Chapter 10 Despairing Su Qianqian
Ding!
Bao Lei: Do you all want to get out of this game?
“Damn right we do.”
“No kidding.”
“Hurry up, stop with the nonsense.”
Bao Lei: Alright, it seems everyone is quite eager. I will now announce the way to exit the game: whoever manages to kill Su Qianqian can leave the red packet group and return to their previous life.
Zhang Xiaofan felt as if struck by lightning and cursed loudly, “Damn you!”
Bao Lei: Zhang Xiaofan is very angry, I see. Next, until dawn, Su Qianqian is not allowed to take a single step outside the school, or she will be dealt with as dead.
“Why, why me?” Su Qianqian’s face had turned ashen, her voice trembling.
At the same moment, sharp and cold glances shot toward her from all around.
“Heh, you little slut, weren’t you glued to Zhang Xiaofan all day? Now you’re in trouble,” Qiao Xuewei said coldly.
“Haha, so there’s actually a way out. Bao Lei, are you serious? What if two people stab Su Qianqian at the same time—what then?”
Bao Lei: Then they both leave the game.
Wang Hu slapped the desk and shouted, “Boys, block all the exits, today I’m tearing Su Qianqian apart with my bare hands!”
“Got it.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah…”
A group of his lackeys stood up, excitement in their eyes, but as soon as they tried to move, they froze, realizing they couldn’t take a step.
“What the hell is going on?”
“I can’t move!”
Ding!
Bao Lei: To make the game more interesting, Su Qianqian will be given twenty minutes to hide. Su Qianqian, good luck—I’m rooting for you. This round is sponsored by Sun Yang. Whether you succeed or not, all surviving students will receive a reward of three hundred Nether Coins.
Countdown, start!
Twenty minutes…
“Su Qianqian, run!” Zhang Xiaofan shouted. He couldn’t move a muscle himself, or he would have already run to her and taken her away.
“Xiaofan, what should I do?” Su Qianqian was in utter panic, looking around at her once-familiar classmates, who now seemed like strangers.
“Su Qianqian, let us kill you. Weren’t you always the most helpful one?”
“Let me do it—I’ll burn offerings for you every day after.”
“Damn it, Su Qianqian, don’t be so shameless.”
The classmates hurled curses at her.
“Don’t think having Zhang Xiaofan as a boyfriend means he can protect you—tonight, you’re going to die.” A girl pulled a knife from under her desk, clearly bought from some ghostly online shop.
At the same time, many students drew out their own weapons. After so many rounds of the death game, they all carried some form of protection. Now, those weapons had become tools for murder.
“Run, Su Qianqian!” Zhang Xiaofan shouted.
Crying, Su Qianqian rushed out. Zhang Xiaofan grabbed his phone and quickly messaged her: “Hide somewhere no one would think to look. I’ll find you later.”
After sending the message, he felt the icy stares of many classmates.
“Xiaofan, don’t be a fool. Su Qianqian’s just like Lin Rou was—she got close to you so you’d protect her, and you’re still taking her side?” Song Feng said coldly.
Lin Rou snapped, “Song Feng, what nonsense are you spouting?”
“Yeah, Zhang Xiaofan must be bewitched. Is she really worth all this trouble?”
“Tch, Xiaofan, if you dare block my way, I’ll be the first to take you out.”
Zhang Xiaofan’s eyes were bloodshot. His deskmate, Hu Xiaotian, tugged at him and said, “They’ll try to stop you first. We’ll hold them off—go find Su Qianqian.”
“That’s right, Xiaofan, good luck,” Jiang Jiehui nodded, and his deskmate Sun Lili agreed as well.
From not far away, Zhou Jian sent a message: Xiaofan, don’t worry, I’ll help block some of them. Protect Su Qianqian.
Zhang Xiaofan’s heart warmed. He turned to Hu Xiaotian and the others. “You guys…”
Hu Xiaotian encouraged him, “We want out of this game too, but we won’t do something so heartless.”
“Go for it,” Jiang Jiehui added.
Zhang Xiaofan clenched his fist and nodded firmly.
Time ticked by. Wang Hu and Song Feng kept sending messages on their phones, as if giving out orders.
Only Murong Feng sat quietly reading, as if he didn’t care about escaping the game at all.
Seeing this, Zhang Xiaofan breathed a sigh of relief. Of all his classmates, Murong Feng was the one who pressured him most. If he wasn’t planning to act, that was for the best.
But the next moment, anxiety seized him once more.
“Murong Feng, join us later to hunt down Su Qianqian. Me, Song Feng, and you—if we all stab Su Qianqian together, we can all get out, how about it?” Wang Hu said, cold and emotionless.
“Wang Hu, damn you! If you dare try that, I’ll kill you first!” Zhang Xiaofan was truly enraged—flames erupted from his body with a roar.
Gasps rose all around. “Zhang Xiaofan really does have fire manipulation!”
“That power must have cost a fortune. Damn, he’s rich,” Shen Feng commented dryly.
Song Feng slammed the desk, frost gathering on his hand. “Xiaofan, I’d suggest you be smart. Don’t think you’re all that just because you survived a few rounds. Trash is always trash to me.”
“I’ll say it now—anyone who touches Su Qianqian, I’ll kill them first!” Zhang Xiaofan shouted.
“Hmph, who’s afraid of you?” Wang Hu sneered, then said to Murong Feng, “Well? Let’s take Xiaofan down first.”
“Sorry, I’m busy. You two can go hunt Su Qianqian yourselves. I’ve got things to do at home,” Murong Feng replied blandly, flipping through a novel called “Netherworld Live Stream.”
“Tch, fine, then don’t,” Song Feng scoffed.
At last, twenty minutes passed. Wang Hu and Song Feng both waved their hands. “Go! Block Xiaofan—if he makes a move, take him down!”
A dozen lackeys charged forward, but Zhou Jian, Xu Xiaolong, Jiang Jiehui, and Hu Xiaotian all stepped up to block them, shouting, “Xiaofan, go!”
“Thank you!” Zhang Xiaofan darted for the window and leapt out, racing down the corridor. He saw Song Feng and Wang Hu rushing after him.
“Xiaofan, tonight’s your end!” Wang Hu roared, his arm turning black and stretching out for a punch.
Just then, Zhou Jian kicked at him, a surge of psychic energy flaring from his body. He clashed with Wang Hu, holding his ground.
“Go!” Zhou Jian shouted.
Zhang Xiaofan gritted his teeth and dashed away, Song Feng hot on his heels. As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he saw Lin Rou standing there, leaning against the wall with a faint smile.
“Lin Rou, are you here to stop me too?” Zhang Xiaofan said grimly.
Lin Rou stepped forward, her face expressionless. “I just want you to see…”
Suddenly, a blast of frost shot towards him.
