After checking the newly awakened skills, Wang Chen was about to open the door and leave.

But just as he reached for the reception room door, he suddenly stopped with his hand on the knob.

The receptionist was escorting a first-time class changer and brought him into a reception room.

Before Little Gardenia could answer, the receptionist opened a nearby reception room, ushered the class changer inside, gave him a few instructions to keep in mind, and then closed the door before turning back to look at her.

“Waiting for someone?” The receptionist froze, and then a gossipy look shot toward her like a blade. “So what Sister Xu said was...”

“Ugh, no, it’s not that!” Little Gardenia bristled at once. “I already told you all, Sister Xu was talking nonsense! It’s so annoying!”

She sprang up and pointed at the door behind her. “I’m just waiting for a class changer, that’s all!”

The receptionist looked puzzled. “He’s in this room?”

“But this room is showing as vacant,” the receptionist said, pointing to the display screen behind Little Gardenia.

At that, Little Gardenia turned around to look. “Huh? How could that be?”

She was instantly stunned. She had been guarding this spot so intently, and because she was angry, she had never bothered to look up at the display screen.

But she was certain Wang Chen had not come out of there.

Seeing her expression, the receptionist simply opened the reception room. “See? Nobody’s here.”

Little Gardenia pressed herself against the doorframe. The small room was fully visible at a glance, and indeed it was empty.

In a fit of frustration, Little Gardenia ruffled her hair into complete disarray.
