Chapter 110: The Principal's Summons
After two leisurely days, Friday at last arrived.
During those rare two days, Aoki Tsukasa not only raised the Medical Canon to level two, but also brought his Study skill to level four, unlocking a new special effect and additional attribute bonuses. Of course, he had also tried to ease the relationship between himself, Sora, and Yozora, but all such efforts had ended in failure.
For reasons unknown, Sora had simply shut himself away again, while Yozora had taken two days off from work.
Study LV4: You have thoroughly mastered the fundamental knowledge up through high school. The examinations of the three high school years are no longer much of a challenge to you, but if your goal is a top-tier institution, this is still far from enough. Mind +1. Experience: 19/600.
Study Instinct: In any learning process, you acquire knowledge more efficiently. Your logical thinking improves slightly, and you gain additional experience points in the process of learning any skill. Mind +1.
Aoki Tsukasa’s Mind had already reached 16 points. This not only made his reaction speed, thought process, comprehension, and memory stronger, but also increased his efficiency in study and quickened the growth of his skills.
And on this very day, Aoki Tsukasa encountered a new problem.
“Aoki-kun, the teacher seems to have something to discuss with you.” Oohashi Kokomi looked at him with concern. He was slouched over his desk, lazily reading a book written in the language of a distant eastern country, apparently something related to medicine.
Aoki Tsukasa lifted himself from the desk and frowned. “Me?”
“Mm... The teacher’s expression didn’t look very good. Please be careful.” Oohashi Kokomi gave him a worried reminder, paying no mind to the classmates around them, whose gazes were either astonished or envious.
Aoki Tsukasa set down the book in his hands and stood with a苦笑. “All right, I understand.”
It was rare to have two peaceful days. What could this be about now?
Come to think of it, the only thing he had done was write a name on the rooftop. Hmm, that should not count as anything serious, right?
“Should I go with you?” Oohashi Kokomi suddenly asked, watching his back.
Aoki Tsukasa turned in surprise. “Huh?”
“I mean, I mean...” Oohashi Kokomi looked a little tense. While helping the teacher in the office earlier, she had seen the school leadership standing at the doorway, speaking to Matsushita Ichiro with great agitation. Thinking about it carefully, perhaps Aoki Tsukasa truly was in some trouble this time. And as a member of the student council, the class monitor, and an honor student near the top of the grade, if the school had any accusations to make, she, as someone who paid close attention to Aoki Tsukasa every day, could testify for him.
But how could she say that out loud? If he heard it, would he not realize that she had been paying attention to him every day...
Oohashi Kokomi did not even consider that the dreamy, lovestruck look she usually wore had already given her away, even to people like Maeda Tora and the others, let alone Aoki Tsukasa.
“Never mind, that won’t be necessary.” Aoki Tsukasa smiled faintly at her. “I don’t think it’s anything major anyway. Just take care of your own things.”
With that, he shoved his hands into his pockets and left the classroom, leaving Oohashi Kokomi behind with a look that was worried, yet also somewhat disappointed.
The walk to the office took only half a minute. Aoki Tsukasa pushed open the door and saw Matsushita Ichiro pacing back and forth inside, looking both dejected and nervous.
The moment he saw Aoki Tsukasa, Matsushita Ichiro became even more tense. “Aoki-kun, have you done something again lately?”
“Huh?” Aoki Tsukasa looked blank.
Matsushita Ichiro swallowed and quickly added, “I mean... have you offended some kind of senior official recently?”
“Me? No, not at all.” Aoki Tsukasa frowned. “I finally had two quiet days. I haven’t done anything.”
Matsushita Ichiro let out an anxious sigh. “Just now, someone from the administration came to me and said they wanted you to go to the principal’s office... I don’t know what happened, but their attitude was not very good.”
Aoki Tsukasa raised an eyebrow, utterly unconcerned. “Got it. Let’s go.”
“Don’t worry. If anything happens, the teacher will testify for you!” Matsushita Ichiro shook the few pitiful strands of hair on his head and looked solemn.
If he did not take this chance to improve his favorability with the boy, would that not be wasting a perfect opportunity? Matsushita Ichiro laughed to himself, finally finding a chance to try and get on better terms with Aoki Tsukasa. At the very least, during these remaining two-plus months before the second-year class division, Matsushita Ichiro wanted to live a little more peacefully.
Who knew how frightened he had been a few mornings ago, eating breakfast at home and reading the news, when he saw the photo of Aoki Tsukasa being forced into a police car?
Aoki Tsukasa glanced at Matsushita Ichiro. Seeing his resolute expression, he merely nodded.
He did not think anything would happen to him.
Led by Matsushita Ichiro, Aoki Tsukasa went through the school building to the innermost principal’s office on the top floor. Matsushita Ichiro knocked respectfully. “Good day. I am the homeroom teacher of Class 1-3, Matsushita Ichiro.”
“Come in.” A stern male voice came from inside.
Pushing open the door, the first thing Aoki Tsukasa saw was a large wooden desk. Behind it, a broad chair back blocked his view, making it impossible to tell who sat there. On the office balcony sat an unknown flower, trimmed beautifully, and on the wall hung a calligraphy scroll written in Chinese characters: Cultivate Virtue, Refine the Self.
“Ahem.” Matsushita Ichiro coughed once and gave Aoki Tsukasa a meaningful look.
Aoki Tsukasa said calmly, “Good afternoon, Principal.”
The office chair swiveled to face him. Seated there was a middle-aged man with neatly combed silver hair, and a suit that was not new but very clean. His gaze was sharp and commanding as he fixed Aoki Tsukasa with a hard stare. “You are Aoki Tsukasa?”
“Yes.” Aoki Tsukasa nodded, his expression unchanged.
“Teacher Matsushita, please step outside for a moment.” The principal gave Matsushita Ichiro a slight nod.
Matsushita Ichiro hesitated, opened his mouth, but in the end did not dare disobey the principal. He gave Aoki Tsukasa a look that said, I can’t help you, then obediently withdrew.
The principal picked up the teacup on the desk and took a sip, then gestured lightly toward the guest sofa against the wall. “Please, sit.”
Aoki Tsukasa sat down without ceremony and looked at him in silence.
The principal stood, walked around the desk, and took the seat opposite Aoki Tsukasa, studying the young man before him.
Aoki Tsukasa had thick, long eyebrows, with the ends slightly raised, giving them a somewhat sharp edge. His eyes held no obvious emotion and seemed a little lazy. His nose was high, his lips not thin but perfectly proportioned. His skin was so smooth it did not seem like that of a boy. Altogether, his features could be considered remarkable. Yet paired with that shaved head, he took on a forbidding air, all brows and bone, radiating a fierce authority without even trying. Especially with the small wounds on his face still not healed, he looked even less like a good person.
The principal then subtly examined Aoki Tsukasa’s clothing. His school uniform was clean and tidy, without a single crease. His shirt was as white as snow, without the slightest stain.
Then there was the way he sat: both hands resting naturally on his knees, fingers lightly interlaced between them, the joints on the backs of his hands a little rough, his body still leaning slightly forward as he sat before him.
The principal could tell this was a very aggressive young man. His posture alone said it all. Though Aoki Tsukasa appeared outwardly calm and indifferent, inwardly he was already prepared for conflict.
“Pleased to meet you. My name is Nakamura Jinnosuke.” Nakamura Jinnosuke’s gaze was like a blade as he stared directly into Aoki Tsukasa’s eyes.
Aoki Tsukasa replied gently, “Pleased to meet you, Mr. Nakamura. I am Aoki Tsukasa.”
Looking at the middle-aged man’s meticulous manner and profound eyes, Aoki Tsukasa felt a faint pressure. He knew this was the natural authority of someone who had long stood in a position of power.
“Aoki-kun, class is about to begin, so I will be brief.” Nakamura Jinnosuke’s tone turned sharper. “I heard that recently you seem to have become the boss of Wuyang High School. Is that true?”

P.S. Poor me only wants to ask all you big shots for a few recommendation votes. At least I am already giving you three updates a day, so could you not encourage me a little?
